I found this neat application that puts a "ink" toolbar on all microsoft office applications.

So if you have wanted to use the "ink" feature of MS Office, but did not have a Tablet PC, but have a Activboard or an Activ tablet, then this applications works great to annotate over MS Office Applications.

The following link has the download page for this app:

How wonderful! I use a Tablet PC, but not all of my teachers have one. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow on one of their laptops. Thanks [clap]

If you are using AS 2.5 or beyond on PC the software has this function already.

In 2.5 it is found in the menu under Activextras and is called "Activmarker".

In V3 - you will find it has been promoted to the dashboard! Once activated it connects with any open office application.

Activmarker then lets you annotate and highlight directly inside any Office document.

Ideal for marking digitally submitted homework or doing some analysis on docs you download off the web in a lesson. With the National Strategies for Literacy in the UK demanding a much higher proportion of digitally generated work from pupils - this feature has real value.

Hi Mark,
Activmarker works great to annotate documents if the level of annotations is minimal.
For extended annotation, of a long document ,activmarker is slow.

This is where a native ink tool built into microsoft office or an added ink toolbar inside the native application works so much better.

This is certainly an area that we will look at more in the future...

Does anyone know if the "ink in any application" type feature is available in Inspire for Mac? I used something like this in Kidspiration with Studio 3 and I would love to do this some more with Inspire.
