Hi Jason,

It is not a tool I use a lot, however, I have just had a play with it and basically if you select the handwriting recognition tool, it pops up with the guide lines for you to write in. When you have written your word/sentence you need to click on the button that has a handwritten T with an arrow to a typed T. This verifies your text. If you want to add it to your page, you click on the icon with the arrow pointing into the page.

If you are using it as a teacher, you can right click on the handwriting recognition tool and this will bring up a floating tool bar on the page. Now you are able to write your words/sentences as normal on the page and it will automatically turn it into typed text.

Hope that makes some sense.

Forgot to say

It won't work if you are trying to use it at home - unless you have a graphics tablet or a hub or even a board  .

If you try it without something attached it will come up with an error message that says 'This feature is not available!'

Note that in order for the HR engine to work, you need to be attached to an Activboard or an Activhub, otherwise a message says this feature is not available.
