I saw in a recent demonstration that you can lock clocks to countdown on pages so you can set children times for tasks but I can't work out how to do it myself. Can anyone help???

Click HERE (http://www.prometheanplanet.com/common/html/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=2895&highlight=timer)to see where it is answered for V3. Or type in 'timer' into the search tool at the top of the forum.

Thanks worked that bit out. I don't want to embed it in the picture I want it ready on the page for me to start when the children start a task. Any ideas?
Karen
There are some timers that you can drag onto the page in the library in V3 (under gadgets and widgets). Not sure if that's what you're after though.

yeah saw I can do them but I want the normal countdown timer which you get in tools locked on the page. Not to worry maybe you can't do it.
Karen
You need an 'activ object'. Try searching for them on the forum. I'll see if I can find a flp with them on that I'll post up (they might even be in the new library). There was definitely a thread about this a while back.

I think I have found something similar in the action object in the library which works ok.
Thanks loads for your help
Karen
Sorry, there are loads of action objects in the library but the clock one doesn't take you to the countdown timer. I'm sure someone did make one/post one. I'll keep trying.
Found this:

So, not sure if it is a possibility yet.:o

Got to be impressed with your persistance Dug. I hope to be like you one day... is that a primary thing?
I like to think that it's a 'Promethean' thing.;)

In V3 you can link an object to an Activ Studio function i.e. Show countdown clock.
Set the parameter to the number of seconds to display and you have a pre-programmed clock on the page ready to be launched - you could actually have any number of these each with their own parameter. See attached example.

I knew there'd be a way. Thanks Dan[clap]

I asked for this and got it. Not sure how to link to the place, or how to attach it though! I can put up a blank flipchart with it on though, so that you can drag it in to your resources. +wave+
