Hi
If you click here
http://www.prometheanplanet.com/uk/server/show/nav.2015
you will find some animal images to download to add to your library. Some of you may already have these if you have received a very recent install of AP at your school. If you have only upgraded from the web though, or had an install a while back you will not have received all of the animals that are now available as part of the Library in AP 2.5.
Follow the on screen instructions and let me know what you think. I love the tiger particularly - and the two monkeys....[clap]
It would also be helpful to know whether it was easy to do. We are trying to make this as easy as possible, as we know it is not always easy to access hard drives etc. With V3 this will be sooo much easier to do ;)

Regarding how easy was it to do - I managed it and I usually steer clear of zip files - they scare me  !
After downloading them I simply right clicked on the folder and then 'extracted them to a specfied folder' and then chose where to put them.
Easy!!
Very simple to do. I was dreading going into that dungeon again but it wasn't bad at all!
Some lovely images - great stuff! Slightly disappointed that others have been removed (like the prowling cat, the 'old style' caterpillar) or am I missing something and they are hiding somewhere?
Lou
Not only are they very child friendly, they are much easier to change. The butterfly is much easier to duplicate and change colours!
Loving the life cycle of a frog sequence - these images are much clearer! [clap]

Lou
Should any new images not just just be added to your existing library or does it completely overwrite your current folder of amphibians, insects, mammals etc?
I was too chicken to put then straight into Shared Collections so mine are in My Collections - incase i did something wring during unzipping!

Well if you want to protect what you already have in your folder then yes you should not do that.... oh and just for you Sarah an octopus is attached... although I have lost the plot as to whether you actually had one   You need to navigate to Bill Gates' Dungeon and put it in the Marine File within Animals....+wave+
I just followed the instructions in the 'Goodies' section. I didn't realise that some images would have been removed!:(
Oh well, I will just have to put them in a flipchart from a school machine and then drag them into the resource library on my home laptop tomorrow. +wave+
Sarah - I think you should add that octopus too, maybe then your search for it will work. I am most upset though that you didn't want to adopt my spare one!

Margaret - I have got an octopus in my marine folder but when I do a keyword search there are several images (inclucing the octopus) that are not found! Strange!
Thanks for the octopus though.

Margaret - it may be useful to 'warn' people (somwherre on the page where the download link is) that if they overwrite the folder they may lose some of their existing images, because as Lou says there were some good exisiting ones. (Which I still have by the way Lou!)
Rub it in! I couldn't believe it! A warning would have been nice!
Perhaps I trust you lot too much!
Great to learn from other people's mistakes! Too busy celebrating the departure of Ofsted and their school no longer being on 'notice to improve'! then sleeping to know about this last night, but off to look now!

Downloaded these yesterday and there are some lovely new images. Luckily I still have the old folders at school so I'll send the other images back to me at home.
My only complaint is the very realistic cobra - it gave me a nightmare last night!

Hi all,
I've made a flipcharts of the animals which didn't make the cut ;) in the new folders if anyone else wants to add these old favourites to their collection.
Apologies for any mistakes, got a bit tedious after a while!:)
Cheers,
Wendy
PS Realised it wasn't a new cobra that gave me a nightmare but an old one (still scary though :o )
