As we are about to reach 1600 users to our forum I thought it was time to add a new idea for adding resources.

I have added a Best Page Category to the Flipchart area.

What I thought would be good is if everyone (well some of you graemlins/icon_biggrin.gif ) were to add one page that you think particularly displays good use of the software. Using a tool in a particularly innovative way.

All you need to do is to say in the upload info. area why you are submitting it.

Don't worry about content it is more about creative ways of using the software.

I have created this category in both Primary and Secondary.

Do remember to specify which type of flip it comes from ie AP, AS or AS2.

Any Mac users out there, I am sure you must have a page or two too

Do our users know how to save and post single flipchart pages? (sfp). This is a feature of AS1 and 2 but not in AP.
Do you mean a one page flipchart?

Thanks Pete,

That is exactly what I meant. A one page flipchart. Incidentally, I wonder if people know how to save an individual page from a flipchart?

Open up the flp with your favourite page.
Go into design mode.
Click on the page number (this will then initiate an icon on the right of the toolbar along the bottom of the screen.)
It looks like a circle with four little squares in it.
Click on this icon.
This will take you into page organiser mode.
Once in the mode you can copy, delete, re-order pages.
If you click on the "copy" rather than the "duplicate" option (second icon from left) this page will now be copied onto your memory clipboard.
If you now open up a new flp repeat the process above, but instead of "copy" choose "paste" you will see your previously copied page appear. Save the flp in the normal way and you will have saved a page.

If this is too complicated - load the whole flp and identify the best page.

Was just trying to get people to share, as I keep seeing some lovely ideas in schools.

Hi
I'm leading a lot of training at the moment in school and elsewhere and came across the problem of 'What if I want to copy more than 1 page from a flipchart to use to demonstrate multiple uses without having to keep loading different flipcharts?' As far as I know AP will only copy 1 page (or have I been missing something? - quite possible!)
Anyway this is the way I got around the problem. I created a folder called 'Copy Pages' in the resources section of AP. In design mode I dragged a box around all of the page and dragged that down into the resource bar, as you would when saving any new resources from a flipchart. This meant that all of the pages I wanted to copy were saved in a single resource folder and could be accessed at any time. It's great for creating training flipcharts and also for developing cross curricular links.
If there was an easier way I'd love to hear it!!

Thanks
Alison

Hi Alison,

Whatever works for you is great!

However you can copy and paste as many pages from one flipchart to another as you would like.

In design mode, go to Page Organiser (little icon bottom right of the toolbar that looks like four squares forming a "window") Then drag your mouse across the pages you want to copy - click on copy, open up a new flp or the flp you want to copy into - go into Page Organiser again and paste them in.

Hope this is what you meant. Let me know if not!
