Hi graemlins/wave.gif
Thanks for directing me to the resouces area with the flipcharts. I have downloaded these to the My Flipcharts folder but I cannot open them. When I try I am asked which program I want them to open with. I cannot find or work out how this is done as even when I browse I come to a dead end. Can 'U' help please
Thanks

If you have a "My Flipcharts" folder then you must be working in AS2. AS2 should open all the flipcharts that are available on the website. So this is very strange
Have you got AS2 and ACTIVprimary loaded onto your machine?
I will assume you have ACTIVprimary. Start AP and then go to the Promethean Man and open. Navigate to where you have saved the flipcharts from the "windows" icon.
If they won't open from there. Then try dowloading one and saving it to your desktop and then double clicking it and seeing what happens.
If you still struggling then ring me. You can do this by ringing Blackburn and they will put you through to me
Don't despair it will be worth it !! graemlins/wave.gif

Hi Margaret
Thanks for trying to help but I think I have found the problem. Someone told me that it is because my board is a TDS (I understand made by Promethean) and that it does not recognise these files. Is that the case?

Yes it is I am afraid Jim. We make the TDS board for business use and the software that ships with it will reflect that, which is why you will not be able to open the flps.
Sorry not to be able to help you.

Hi Jim
I am the website developer for the global group TDS Promethean and I can tell you that I am developing some new facilities on the TDS website (http://www.tds-av.co.uk)
There will be a new user forum and this has the ability for uploading attachments with the forum messages.
I think the plan is to start to encourage users of the ACTIVpx software solution that accompanies the TDS ACTIVboard to start to share resources.
So hopefully in the not too distant future you will be able to access resources that can be used on your system.
In the meantime feel free to contact the team at TDS AV Distribution to ask them about their plans. Visit the TDS website via the link above and you will find a general contact page where you can submit an enquiry.
The company recently annouced in press and on the respective websites that the group companies are now working under a different structure. Basically the newly created TDS Promethean company develop, manufacture and support both the TDS and the Promethean range of interactive whiteboards and associated software. TDS AV Distribution sells its solution via a network of channel partners. Promethean have five direct sales companies that sell its solution around the world.

Hi
Thanks Margaret and Cliff. I am happy with the TDS board but it was taken after advice from the contracter that maintains the hardware in our school (all before I started here in January).
Never mind - I look forward to progress being made on the TDS website and the same sort of sharing that makes the Promethean site successful. Good luck to Promethean users and thanks for your advice from this cuckoo in your nest.
Jim
