Page Setup

My board fits nicely onto an A4 landscape page. However, the default page setup seems to be portrait. At the moment I have to change the orientation on every flipchart. Is there a way to change the default to landscape?

Hi John,

Are you referring to printing out a flipchart page? If so, I believe we use the OS Print dialog and I'm not sure how to set defaults on that :confused:

Anyone else help?

Hi John,

if you go in the the page setup menu you can set landscape and it should keep that setting for all your future printing needs. I did my that way and have not had any trouble.

Thanks Tim, its always better to hear from someone that's actually done it! My MAC prints out gobbledegook on our Windows network at work! :rolleyes: Has anyone out there had experience of setting up a Mac to print over a Windows network?:confused:

Thanks for your suggestions, folks. Yes I do use page setup to change the print orientation, but next time it is back to portrait again. There must be some default settings somewhere, but I cannot find them in the usual place under preferences. The same thing happens with the startup tips. I try shutting them off, but every time I start up the computer and the program again, back they come. Any more ideas gratefully received.

Hi John.

In the same page set up you should see setting at the top with a drop down box that is defaulted to page attributies. Click on this drop down and select save as default after you have select the portrait icon at the bottom.

Where exactly is the "page set up menu"? I see the place to change the orientation on the print dialog box, but no where to change the page attributes. Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

I use the PE version so I am not sure if this is the same in the primary version but here is what I know:

Find page set up either under the file menu at the top of your screen
or
Click on the top left icon in your toolbox
Select Flipchart
Click Page Setup
or Hold down the "shift" key and the Apple/command key then hit "P"

Any of these work on the PE version.

Thanks for the info. I DO have the PE version. But, were the instructions you gave for a Mac? I looked under the little Promethean guy on my PC PE version and don't have a page set up version.

Hi Lisa,

I have not use the PC version since March. I thought you were on MAC because this Thread s on the MAC version side. I jump on both side when the topic is interesting. Anyone else like Peter who may know the work around on the PC side?
