Promethean have just installed four Activboards for me but I haven't configured the computers yet.

Is the Mac software delivered with them be the latest? It's build 31. Do we yet have an Intel native driver and programme?

If the software isn't completely up to date then we provide updates and drivers online for free.

The latest Mac software is:

Activstudio 2.2b42 (UB, Limited Intel Support)
Activprimary 2.1b43 (PPC, may work on Intel Macs through rosetta with some limitations)

It's odd that boards are supplied with incompatible software- tech support tell me I have to download ActivStudio updater as well to get rid of the watermark.

The Promethean installers steadfastly refused to acknowledge that we wanted to run them on USB and left the USB cables buried in lofts and in trunking- we've basically had to finish the installation ourselves.

They would not supply a repeater (as stated in the Knowledge Base- "If you want a USB connection to reach over 5 meters then Promethean provide a USB Repeater cable to add another 5 meters, this added to the 5 meters cable that is provided with the board will allow you to position a computer 10 meters away from the Activboard.")
