At the recent launch events for the brilliant new Activboard+2 system,
http://prometheanworld.com/uk/html/uksolutions/activboard+2/animated.shtml
we have been running software demonstrations. I have been requested to share my Activprimary demonstration. Well, the cat is out of the bag - its Margaret's!
Most of the pages have been created to illustrate teaching ideas and thus the flipchart is not themed. Hopefully you will be able to use them as a stimulus to create interactive pages to suit your topic/subject matter. Most pages have Page Notes.
I have removed a few of the pages (video) to reduce file size, but here it is - from the Godess of Activprimary ;)

Enjoy! [clap]

Hello, could you explain how the middle of the magnifying glass sees through the layer?

Thanks Leslea

It's a clever use of the 'eraser' tool. If you do some rubbing out, what you're actually doing is putting some 'transparent' pen over something. You can check this by putting some eraser marks on your page, then 'pick them up' with the 'select' tool and move the marks around. The magnifier exploits this (unique, I think) feature of the Promethean eraser by grouping some eraser 'colouring in' within the relevant section of the magnifier so you can move it around accordingly.
Any clearer? If not, maybe someone else can give a better explanation.
If you download a flipchart with a magnifier on, you can save yourself making one by adding it to your library of resources for subsequent use.

Hi Leslea,
This has come up several times in various threads on the forum. Here's one link:

BTW a good tip for all forum users, this is what I did to find the thread:

If you haven't downloaded a flipchart before, your computer may be treating this strange new beast as a zip file because it doesn't recognise the extension .flp (and a flipchart is actually a collection of items anyway, I think...)

To sort that, click on the down-arrow at the end of the 'Save as type' box that appears when you click on the link, and select All Files. The file should then save with its original extension - .flp
Failing that, it may be possible to change the file extension of the downloaded zip file to .flp - not sure if that would work.
