Does anyone know if there is a facility to subscibe to whereby you are notified by e-mail whenever there is a new upgrade available to download?

Thank you...

Hi

This is something we are actually looking at for future versions.

How about a simple mailing list? Slap a registration script on the website & then send out an email when you update the software.

Surely something that simple could be done?

Hi

OK we do have plans afoot to do what you are suggesting, I am currrently building the new Promethean websites, intranets, extranets and a new website for users that is called Promethean Planet - its not giving the game away to tell you this since we talked about it at BETT and even encouraged users to sign up. Implementation has taken a little longer than planned but we have now bottomed out the design, the CMS implementation and we do have a working resource facility which is oodles better that the current one! forum migration is next on the agenda and within a couple of months we will launch.

Briefly you will be able to sign up for Promethean Planet and you will be able to set your communication preferences with Promethean, you will be able to opt in or out of promotional mailshots, you will be able to sign up for site notifications of your choice such as new drivers, new software patches, sections of the website updated. These may not all be there for launch but they will be phased in asap.

Carolyn eluded also to the software itself informing you of upgrades - that is also being looked at - no news though on when that might be available.

So lot's of excitng things happening, to wet your appetites - please see attached screengrab of a resource detail page in Promethean Planet.

if you are a USA user and subscribe to NetTrekker the US resources are now available via NetTrekker searching and are correlated to US state standards.
