Two of my personal favourites:

http://www.coxhoe.durham.sch.uk/
My wife just found the sparklebox site this weekend - only because sparklebox is such an avid poster on the TES staffroom/early years forum.

I was going to check this out before posting it, but it is probably better that more techiererer people than me do this anyway, but it looked good to me. [clap] It seemed to be suggesting that some of the issues which have come up before about different types of files etc could be solved, well oiled along the wheels of less confusing at least

www.videoegg.com (http://www.videoegg.com/) - acc to the article I read: It is a simple way to edit, store, watch and share videos on the web that has been developed by three graduates from Yale University. They believe that working with video online should be as easy as frying an egg, hence the name. The idea came from seeing everyday users struggle with a complex mix of video formats, editing software and players when they try to put video online. A universal adpater that captures directly from hundreds of devices and reads dozens of formats, it allows user to painlessly publish videos that anyone can watch without worrying about player compatibilities, encoding settings or extra software. AND ITS FREE! [clap]

As I typed that I just wondered whether I even understand its full potential, but maybe someone out there can enlighten me? It maybe that for the average user this is too much....

This website is fab - has distracted me for far too long from what I was supposed to be doing! :)
Brilliant for stimulating imagination for creative writing or making work on habitats a bit more interesting!
Lots of potential to use this with the camera tool as you suggested Margaret or the spotlight tool.
Could even ask children to identify the different parts of the "animal" with voting.
Loving this one! +wave+

This web page at riverdeep.com provides articles across the curriculum that may be of interest. Although not interactive, the articles have fabulous photos, maps and charts!

Some great sites here thanks. One that I use constantly is www.topmarks.co.uk it is great, as all you need to do is search for your topic area and it will show you loads of relevant sites that are organised by key stage!

Hope you find it as useful as I do!!!

As I read this I was getting really excited about all those video clips that would now work in flipcharts until I read it CAREFULLY and realised it was about putting video on the web. Ho hum! Someday soon perhaps.

This is a wonderful, free website that is great for younger students and looks and feels a bit like 2Simple's Simple City.
Navigate around a virtual town/city, clicking on areas like ‘The Doctor’s’ or ‘The Police Station’ etc and then get a lovely virtual guided tour with lots of engaging content. If you go nowhere else this weekend, go here: http://kids.direct.gov.uk/

http://www.mathplayground.com/ Currently, one of my favorite sites is Math Playground. You have to visit the site to appreciate what it has to offer students from elementary to middle school. I particulary enjoy exposing students to algebraic reasoning and thinking blocks.
