Inspired by the UK Dan Bunker the US Andy Ryff has created the attached spinner.
You need to save it in the Share Activities folder which you will find in Bill Gates' dungeon.
Cdrive>Docs and Settings>All users>Shared Docs>Activsoftware>AP2>Shared Activities and then access it from the AV icon just below the Promethean Man on the upright toolbar. In AS you do the same in terms of saving, but in Shared Activities of AS folder. Access from library and in Shared Activities or you could save it in my Activities in My Docs - currently there is no access to My Activities in AP.

Margaret,
Excellent. I'll give Andy a call and thank him. That is excellent.
Is there a property in flash that allows for random spins??

Well of course, I will share this information with you [clap] - the thing about random issues with flash is that
ha ha got you all going there didn't I :D :D :D
As if I know - I just know how I would use it! +wave+

If I click on this above I can make it work but when I follow Margaret's instructions and save it it doesn't open as it won't recognise the programme. :( ????

It worked for me. I saved it exactly as described by Margaret, then opened AP2 and clicked on the Activities Explorer and there it was!
You can, of course save it to use in AS2 as well:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\ACTIV Software\ACTIVstudio 2\Shared ACTIVities
When you open it in AS2, you get a little thumbnail on your page, which when you click on it ,opens to full size to use. Nice! You can of course, drag it onto the short cut bar of the toolbox so you can drag it onto any page when you need it.

Nope I still can't get in it - it says windows can't open this file as it needs to know what has created it.
Whilst I'm at it can anyone help with my question of thread too? ????
Leviosa, I suppose its possible that the computer you're on doesn't have a Macromedia flash or shockwave player installed. You can download them free at:
http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/
This is all I can think of.

I didn't have flash until last night doh :o
Do I need shockwave as well?
I am very good at working stuff - it;s just knowing what stuff I should have to make work that is my problem clwn
There's no harm having both and it should mean no further probs with these sorts of files.

Hi and welcome!+wave+
The thing is Ange it will depend where you saved the resource. You have various options, but if you have saved it on your hard drive ie in the area with one little man at the top then it is just for you. BUT if you have saved it in the area with two little men then it is in the shared area, BUT only if your systems are networked and set up as such.
Do you have a technician who can support you

Thanks great to be here!
My toolbar has one little man at the top. The place where spinner is saved is as directed so wonderfully in the extra toolbar that comes up on the left, in shared resources where there is a little man and a little lady.
Are they married? :p
Does this help at all?
Ta!
A x
