Hi!
Whilst making a wordsearch for a colleague today, I made some little icons that can be put into your resource library to allow you to make wordsearches pretty damn quick.
I hope someone finds these useful :)

I use a software prgramme that makes wordsearches and crosswords and then just use the camera tool to put it into flipchart - even quicker and easier :-)

It was one my PGCE mentor gave me on a disk - I think there are similar versions available on the Internet. The one I use is really good as you type in the words you want, decide how hard you want it to be and it generates it for you. It's called Expert Software if that helps?

Also subtangent has a useful word-search maker engine.

Attached is an example of one I've made - unzip all files to same folder and open up the buddhismpage.html (allowing any activX controls and content).
Once these are on your hard drive you can link to them directly from Activ Primary or Studio - they will then open in the Activ browser window and you can use all your favourite Activ tools too!

they have software to buy but also really great free stuff. Try out the Word Search Factory Lite (http://www.schoolhousetech.com/products/wordsearchlite/index.htm).

I have found a way to catch flash from a flash sudoku website and insert the flash in a flipchart of sudoku, wordsearches, etc....

Go here and see if this helps! [clap] You will need to register but it is a free registration and there are somewhere near 100 tutorials guiding you through every aspect of the software.

Angek,
You can also right click on the icon for the camera to get the context-sensitive help for the tool.

OK. Here it is.
I use mozilla, so I loaded soThink swf catcher. It catches flash out of webpages without having to look for it in Temp Int. Files.
You can go here for the puzzles:
Puzzles, etc (http://www.thepuzzleplayer.com/)
You can go here for som ejigsaw puzzles:

Save them to your computer then insert them into your flipchart.
Please make sure that you credit the author or the webpage if you use their material.

Another really good site is Hot Potatoes. Don't know how you would get the interactive puzzles into a flipchart!!!!! Something to work on.....:p
