I have had a problem with the new version of activstudio and the activvote system. It appears to be impossible to use the activvote in named user mode at present. If you use this all the time then I suggest you wait until this glitch is fixed. I will make sure that the fix is publisized on here when they send me the fix.
At present I have uninstalled the new version and gone back to the old one that works.

THIS FIX SORTED IT OUT!!! You may need to download patch B from the website first but thisattachment did the trick for me.

OOOPs cannot upload the attachment.

Thank you for the feedback Martin, I greatly appreciate your offer to help your colleagues. But I hope you don't mind me suggesting that anyone else having this problem contact technical support.

We need to be certain they have the same problem, and it helps us to track it.

This fix will be included in the next patch of the software too, so hopefully shouldn't be with us for long.

I tested named user mode voting on version 2.5

everything works fine.

In 2.5 there is even a new option to not have to make your users enter the 3 letter registration code, if you have physically numbered your devices and put a label on each device registration.

Mine is working now after a few fixes but there are still a few glitches in the software. It may be because I have quite an old board and my voters are about 2/3 years old. When I select an entire group in the register users named section and then try to return those absent to the master list I get a run time error. It works ok if I click the absent column though so it is not much of an issue.

Hi Alice

Try re-registering the 32 handsets if it still hasn't solved the problem contact technical support.
