I have just installed the new upgrade of activstudio2 PE v2.1.34. When I come to vote on a preprepared quiz i get this message when i press the vote symbol on the toolbar

Your present hardware software combination is not permitted for this country

HELP!!!!!!!!! I have loads of lessons today

I have one of the older board types ( red light blue light). The activvote system worked fine on my earlier version of activstudio2 PE This has happened since I have installed the new version. I have tried rebooting and attaching the computer later.

The transmitter reciever I have is one that plugs into the whiteboard, not the USB hub

Strangely enough, this happened to me yesterday on a newer board following the update to 2.5. I solved it by:


Restarting the PC
Going back into the DEVICES screen
Re-choosing the country (UK in my case) from the dropdown
Re-registering each device

After being on to technical support 3 times I have found out that there is a glitch in the Activvote system with the new version. Usernames are lost after device allocation. It works in annonymous though. They are apparently working on a fix. I am uninstalling the new version and going back to the old one until this is fixed

we have literally just released this fix to the teams (this is a different problem than the one you started with ;) )

Thanks for the help. the fix has been sent to me and it appears to be working perfectly!!!!!
