I have been uploading some of the American Flipcharts into the Resources area. Click on "What's New" : {}
http://www.prometheanworld.com/uk/scripts/links_sql/page.cgi?g=&d=1
I have tried to only choose the ones from the Promethean Inc. website that will "fit" into our curriculum, and some of them have the obvious spelling discrepancies.
BUT one of them I am attaching here, as it would be soooo cool if as many of you as possible could convert this into topic based "Who wants to be a Millionnaire" flipcharts.
There must be something called Gazillionaire over the water.... but looks promising![clap]

Margaret,
Did you look at tha author.....
I called it gazzilionaire because I didn't want to use the Millionaire name and make the Millionaire folks mad.
I think I even have the question settings in it.
Also, Look at ACTIV quiz which is a Jeopardy template as well, complete with links to all of the pages as necessary!!
I made them both templates so teachers can customize them as they see fit!!

Too subtle for me, my friend..... Thought it was great but didn't recognise how to do the Jeopardy one... can you upload and explain?
I have downloaded something like 100 flps from Prom Inc. and so detail like looking at the author I am afraid has gone out of the window.
I have been trying to choose ones which would comfortably slide across the water with no apparent "issues". I have not gone through and changed spelling, and possibly will be cross at this... but you can't suit everyone eh?
Sorry Bill.... as if I wouldn't acknowledge you if I could! +wave+ +wave+ +wave+ Three Cheers for Bill Lohman aka Airskeeter!

I think we used to have it over here - it rings a bell - but not anymore, that's for sure!
Here's my three cheers for Bill: Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!

I'll have a B please, Bob. The 'Gazillionaire' one is truly fantastic - I still remember Bill's original post about it :D [clap]

Thanks for sharing the Gazillionaire and Jeopardy templates. We have been using the powerpoint templates for each game but then only one child at a time gets to participate with each question. This game template gives all students a chance to answer. I love it! Please continue to share any other GREAT ideas that you have.

Been working on the Millionaire template and converting it in to pounds instead of dollars. Would this be of interest to anyone? I also added the music to play! :-/

Hi Alison,
My experience of this forum is that you don't ask questions such as this :D you just post it! People then download and love it - but somehow waiting for the "ok" doesn't seem to work!
Sounds fantastic - go for it! [clap]

One of my colleagues at school recently showed me a Powerpoint Presentation based on Who Wants to be a Millionnaire. Since then I've been working on using it to produce a flipchart. It would be great to see what you have managed to do.

I'm a bit late on this thread - but I've just made this and thought it might be useful to some folk.
Cheers,
Wendy
Loving both of these!
Voting is often easily described (especially when going through airport security with it) as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - this flipchart finally makes good use of that comparison. The detail that has gone into this is great. I'm looking forward to using it.
Brilliant Wendy! [clap] Thanks.

Make sure you're not in design mode..otherwise the music doesn't work! +wave+
This is why I keep telling everyone I know to logon to Promethean Planet! Thanks for the resources.
Hi again, am still trying with regards the music but having no luck.
Am not in design mode, am I looking in the wrong place for the page notes?

Deb have you got the English version? If you look at the topr right corner of the page, some of them have a little picture of a voting pod. If you click on this the music will play. If it's not working let me know and I'll e-mail it straight to you! +wave+
Alison
Thanks Alison, why didn't I think of clicking on the pod??
Have used this several times already and the children love it. What a great way to assess knowlede of shape and time[clap][clap][clap] I think I love it more than the children actually!

I am using the first version, and it is changing my text for my answers. I tried to change the font, but it is still not working. Attached is what I got so far.
Noticed that I am running AS not AP. Is there a version of this for AS?

Brian,
I had a look, but I'm not sure exactly what you mean  . Sorry to be so dense, could you explain some more?

In my first answer group I type in 39 and if diplay 9l. When I go to fix it and click on text it appears fine. When I close the text it goes back to 9l (or something like that). I thought it might be because I don't have the loaded script (using v2.5) so I changed the font to Ariel and still had the same problem.

OK Brian, had a play in 2.5 and managed to get it to work for me! This is what I did (bit long, but it did work!)...
I went in to design mode and right clicked and went in to Activote settings.
I made sure that under 'labels' it had a, b, c, d and under 'answers' it had the right answers (you can choose them from the drop down menu, and even if they showed wrong on your flipchart, they showed right on the drop down menu)
When I had finished and pressed ok, I went back to your flipchart, clicked on each text box, as if to edit, but did nothing, just came straight out and they reverted to what you wanted! [clap]
I know it sounds long, but it was quite quick! Have a go, and let me know if it works! If not, just send over it wrong and I'll change it for you. +wave+
Hope that helps!

I tried it and it did nothing. I then changed to adhoc and back to prepared and did it again. It worked for one and not the other. I appreciate the offer, but I will just wait for V3;) , and hopefully everything will work out.

I was also wondering if there is a way to make it so when I pull up my final results, if I could get it to assign a point value to each question, then total them. Therefore, I can have a class play the entire time. I was thinking of making an excel sheet that could do this, but I am going to wait until I getting the FC working correctly.
