I assume the "Excalibur" file to be a spell checker but It wont find a suitable dictionary file. It has one labeled "Standard Dictionary" but it won't use it.
There is a problem with the installation. You can download Excalibur from the website:

I recieved the following email about a reply to my last post but when I put in the url. the forum returned it as invalid. :(
"Hi,
The Standard Dictionary missed resource fork so the application was not able to auto load it.
After download from the link below and expanding from archive, please put the dictionary file to the Excalibur folder and replace the installed dictionary.
Good luck.

Hi,
Yes, I posted this reply and compressed the dictionary uning StuffIt, but it appeared that the forum does not support .SIT files - standard Mac archive format. I could not use Zip as it does not support resource forks so I had to trash my reply.
Yes, best thing is download the Excalibur from Web.

Just got another notification. I have downloaded it, thanks now I have figure out how to make it work.
By the way, I don't see the last two posts by UzMac when I am on the forum. I have refreshed.
I guess I am still a JR. menber after all. I figured out where UzMacs replys were. Excuse my ignorance. Still getting used to this.

erm, latest PC version of ACTIVstudio is 2.1.34, and surely the best place to ask for this is in the PC forum ;)

Does this update solve the sleep problem (i.e. disconnecting from board when sleep occurs)?

Hi,
Yes, I can confirm that driver works fine in such case for serial and usb connection!

Yeah!
Just open General preferences and unselect the Show Object Tags and SHow Help Tags
P.S. I know it's unbelievable ;)

no, I meant the "did you know" thing that can't be cancelled?
Another thing, which I would really like in ActivStudio (you'll tell me I can now!) is this:
What's the first thing children ask when they start a piece of work?
"Sir, what is the date?"
Why can we not have today's date discreetly included at the top of every page?
•If you switch on "date stamp" it does not update. And if you re-use a flipchart 12 months later, it's embarrassing!
I know you can use digital clock, but I'd like an automatic feature.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. I put the computer to sleep for 15 seconds (left ActivStudio running). Woke it up and hey- what a surprise. Board was disconnected and flipchart says "hardware not detected".
Otherwise working fine, but this aspect IS annoying.

I have attached an example flipchart (CurrentDateStamp.flp) that stamps the current date to the flipchart page. The object button 'Set Current Date' has an applescript attached that automatically adds current date (and removes previous date) to flipchart page when entering the page. The object can be added to the Resource Library and dragged on to any page. It can be made invisible if you do not wish to see it. It will only work with Activstudio v2.1 or later.
I have also attached a zipped up applescript (currentDateStamp.zip). If this attachment is unzipped the script can be attached to a User defined button. Clicking on this button will add the current date to the flipchart when required.
Activstudio v2.1 build 31 should correct the bug which allows 'Did you know?' to be cancelled.
