I use an EMAC in my classroom and use a G4 powerbook to create them. Most of our teachers use their powerbooks.

I have a powerbook that I prepare flps on but an emac that stays in the classroom to run the board itself. I move flps onto the emac either with a memorystick or with a firewire hard drive.

All w/boards are on Mac Minis coupled to Samsung TFTs and a video splitter. Not entirely successful, but cheap.
