Hello all

I was wondering if anyone used their Activote for self registration (I teach Y6).

I wanted a way for the children to selecet their lunch option for the day and then I could just export and print the results.

Has anyone tried this or thought about it before? If so, any tips?

Do you think it might be easier for the children to drag and drop their name on a standard flp and then print that page instead of using activote?

Sorry this is a bit rambling I am just 'thinking out loud'.

Hi

You could have that question "page" up as they arrive in your classroom. They vote before they do anything else. Can't see why that wouldn't work? +wave+

With younger children we have been advocating self-registration for a while now. Dragging a picture of themselves, or a word or a picture associated with themselves across from side of the board to the other. Or, for lunch dragging their "icon" name etc. from the bottom of the board into either "packed lunch" or "dinners".

Maybe others have different ideas/suggestions.

What wonderful ideas! The extra questioning that comes out of the pupils voting for their choice could also be useful. What pattern are emerging? For example Why is it on a Thursday everyone brings in packed lunch ?etc.

Great idea. thanks for sharing

I have been using my interactive whiteboard for registration since I got my board about a year ago. The time I gain is invaluable allowing me time to talk to children and deal with other issues that may arrise. During our OFSTED inspection the inspectors were very impressed saying they had not seen it before. Children love it. :D
