Did you know ACTIVprimary 2 for Mac has extensive Applescript support?
I have attached a flipchart that shows a very simple use of Applescript. Clicking on the 'Reveal old photo' button activates an Applescript that fades the new photo revealing an older photo below.

wouldn't it be great if you could do that with AS2 for WIN32 :( *hint hint*

Jos this is really cool [clap]

I'm pretty new to using Macs but was in receipt of a beautiful Powerbook for Christmas and am stunned at just how fabulous the software looks and behaves {}

What I'll need to do now is look into how to use Applescript - have you any suggestions as to the best way to get started?

Best wishes

Laura :)

Laura, two places on the web which are good starting points to learn about Applescript are:

http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/applescript/

http://www.applescriptsourcebook.com/home.html

To help with scripting ACTIVprimary I have attached a word doc describing the basic features and also a dictionary which lists the commands AP2 uses.

If you wish to look into Applescript in greater depth a good book is:
AppleScript: The Definitive Guide (Definitive Guides) (Paperback) by Matt Neuburg

There is also an active forum at:
http://bbs.applescript.net/

I hope this helps.

Hi Jos

Thank you so much for this. I will take a look when I return from BETT week here in London. Looking forward to becoming an apple junkie!
