I am trying to install ACTIVprimary for MAC and keep getting a message that pops up every couple of seconds: The tablet driver did not load because you aborted. I have tried to reinstall and have downloaded the newest updates. Is there a way to turn this off?

Hi
Can I suggest you talk to technical support as it is highly likely that this could be something specific to you and your MAC +wave+
If you have a technical query, please contact Promethean Technical Support by visiting http://www.Prometheanworld.com (http://www.prometheanworld.com/) selecting your country and then navigating to the "Customer Care" page.

Hi,
This has nothing to do with ACTIVPRIMARY installer or installation!
It is a message that was usually dropped tome by ACTIVtablet driver until I attached the tablet. If you are not having/using the tablet (to stop bothering you :)) you can just uninstall the driver. For this launch the RemoveTablet application from the /Applications/Tablet/ nad run through the uninstallation steps.
Hope this helps :)

We had this problem to and we found that it was solved by ujninstalling the software in using the tablet driver that came with the board instead of the one that comes with the tablet, or maybe it was the other way around, it's been a while so I don't remember. Old age effects the memory you know.

Yes - we had that problem too, so it isn't just the Coreolis Effect, or something peculiar to the Northern Hemisphere. We are in the process of returning all our teacher laptops to the lease company (we have had them for 3 years...) and setting up brand new machines, including installing ACTIVstudio2 for Mac YAY!!!!!! [clap] [clap] [clap]
It will be interesting to see if we get those issues with the new version.
Incidentally - are people using the tablets much? I issued a tablet to each ACTIVboard user when we first set up the boards, and used a tablet myself for a while.
Eventually I gave up and just did any editing using the keyboard.

A colleague helped me fix the ACTIVtablet message. This worked!
Here are her directions:
You get an error message when you start your computer saying that the
tablet driver could not be loaded because you aborted. If you haven't installed primary on the MAC, you can avoid this message by not installing the tablet driver which is in the folder
called "Tablet Drivers" on the install CD.
If you get this error message, here is the fix:
Click on your hard drive, either on the desktop or in a
finder window. Click on the folder called "Library". In the Library
folder, find the folder called "StartupItems". There will be a folder in it
called "Tablet". Drag that folder to the trash. You will be asked for your
password. Empty the trash. Then restart your computer. The error message
should be gone
