So I just got my brand new set of ActiVote pods today. So it's good that I have the ability to pick up things quickly or maybe it's the addictive personality but I love these things. I have only had a chance to put together one short lesson but I get the real crash course over the next 24 hours through 2 demos for staff and PTO.

I have one issue I was hoping someone could help with...

I want to give the staff a test but I would rather see the answers at the end of the test rather than following each question. I know under Preferences I can choose paste results to new flipchart page on the AdHoc/Demo and then Show Results under the answers section but it just doesn't seem to want to work correctly. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Chris

You were in the right area
In the vote settings take the tick out of display results
This means that the results won't be displayed at all.
When you've finished your quiz then right click on the page & go to activote\results & there you go!!

Another option would be to leave the tick in display results, put a tick in automatic page advance & set it so that users first answers are accepted only. Then you can run your test, using pre-prepared questions with timeouts, & the pages will advance & the results will display automatically when the final question has been completed.

I am trying to do this and have the results display automatically but it does not seem to work for me? could it be that I have more pages after the assessment? I want to have a results page then more data after? Also tried putting in a display results action object and it appears to so nothing? Really need to fix it as I submitted it and it is not working right?

One way to not show results as you go, but collect the results at the end of each session is to use the export results to excel function. The spreadsheet it creates has a good amount of detail.

To export the results in 3.6 on the mac go to Activ>Activote Results>Export to Excel. YOu can choose this option immediately at the end of a vote session, or even later after you have saved, closed and reopened the flipchart. (It will export the last set of voting you did so export between each session if you want results for each session.)

Cheers,
Barbara

Thanks, I sort of cheated and linked the page to the previous page where results existed and then it would bring up a results for a summary. I still export them afterwards but it is nice to be able to show the students results quickly.
