First time vote user snafu

I know this is for discussion of positive vote uses, but I thought I'd try here as well as technical support. OK the votes are registered. We choose a named session and the students get their votes allocated. They enter their codes and all names go green. We exit as directions tell us. Click on the icon for our first vote and nada. Error message tells us the ACTIVboard is having trouble communicating. I went to the location that tells ACTIVote where the db file is located and routed it there. Any suggestions?
