MAC OS X: New ACTIVstudio Professional 2.0.16 and ACTIVboard driver 2.2.48 Released!

Promethean had released a new update of MAC OS X version of ACTIVstudio Professional 2.0.16 and NEW ACTIVboard driver 2.2.48 today!

Just tried the new driver - WOW!!! - Driver Sleep FIXED finally and Bluetooth Mac-proACTIV works cool now

What was said to be new in 2.2.48 release:
1. Fixes ACTIVboard becomes unavailable after waking Mac from sleep
issue
2. Added support for using ACTIVboard via bluetooth channel with both
embedded and external bluetooth connectors
3. Added extra countries to the "Select the region in which you are to use
ACTIVote/ACTIVslate" option
4. Can be run for boards that have no support for ACTIVote
5. Added an "Enable logging to Console" option that allows to turn on
output ACTIVboard operation session to log
6. Enabled changing ACTIVboard bluetooth device name

I found the 2.0.16 update online. Where can I find the driver update? The website still lists it as 2.1 from July.

Nevermind the previous question. It all downloaded together. However.....

Just installed the 2 updates on a machine that has been having sleep issues and a problem reconnecting with the board. At first we tried new USB cable and all. I just installed the update and the board works fine after waking from sleep BUT the purple Promethean watermark shows up if you still have ActivStudio flipcharts open. While this is just cosmetic, it still can be a distraction to some staff. If you quit out of ActivStudio, then everything seems to function correctly.

The other concern is that every update of ActivStudio wipes out any preferences/changes the user has made to their toolbox especially additions. Any idea why this continuously happens?


I found the 2.0.16 update online. Where can I find the driver update? The website still lists it as 2.1 from July.

I'm glad the board is working, if you're ACTIVstudio is still displaying the watermark I would advise contacting the support team for your country.

I am happy to hear you have installed the new driver and it has solved your sleep problem.
The watermark will not appear if ACTIVstudio is launched after the ACTIVboard has been connected. However currently, runtime detection of the ACTIVboard whilst ACTIVstudio is already running is not supported. Therefore the watermark remains when the ACTIVboard is attached.
Unfortunatley the rapid pace of development on the Mac meant we had to trash the preferences on this upgrade. This will not happen for future updates.
