Hello All,

I just installed ActivPrimary 2 on an OS X laptop running 10.3.9. It runs fine on other machines but this machine gives me an error stating the following.

key_RegionIsEuropefirmwareIsUSAError

key_RegionIsEuropefirmwareIsUSAErrorExp

It then only gives the choice to quit.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening or a possible solution? I have reinstalled the software already. Could it be a corrupt disk?

Hi Margaret,

Thanks for forwarding this. It's a quite odd error.

Hi

If you feel comfortable, could you try the following. If you don't then I suggest you telephone technical support who will talk you through it.

From here http://www.prometheanworld.com/n-america/en/html/customer_care/software.shtml

1. Download and Install ACTIVprimary 2.1 update.

2. If you are in the USA and the ACTIVboard/proACTIV has USA firmware, open ACTIVboard System Preferences' PrefPane, switch to ACTIVboard tab and from the "ACTIVote/ACTIVslate Frequency Zone" pop-up menu "Select the region in which you are to use ACTIVote/ACTIVslate" - USA in your case.

This will fix the alert the user is seeing.

Hope this helps. It is as clear as mud to me  - As you can probably gather this offering is from someone who knows, rather than me!

Man I am slacking. Just found I forgot to reply to this post. The solutions that a few people had sent worked including changing the region. Thanks for the solutions!
