Please can we be allowed to save pages from Primary flipcharts into the My Pages documents?

I was working with a teacher today who also wants that functionality. Another thing we noticed when working in ACTIVprimary (as opposed to ACTIVstudio) was that we were not able to have multiple flipcharts open at the same time. In ACTIVstudio, we can have several flipcharts open at the same time and toggle among them using the Arrange Windows option. It would be nice to have that ability in ACTIVprimary, as well. (Maybe I'm just not noticing it?)

Thanks,
Lori

Hi Lori,

At the risk of sounding defensive  . There are little things like this which AP can't do, and the reason for this is that on the whole we have found that Primary users need a safe but effective environment from which they can exploit the technology.

I think Primary teachers are the most creative - I may need to run for cover here for fear of my Secondary colleagues :D , but I also think that the mere fact that they have to teach across so many subjects means that perhaps their ability to integrate IT in any shape or form within their teaching is less appealing/appropriate/accessible.

Something like "windowing" the screen could be a potential barrier as it requires a greater skill set.

It has been felt that if teachers really want to start utilising this sort of functionality that they "move onto" ACTIVstudio.

I have probably insulted Primary and Secondary teachers here   :( - no offensive intended just trying to speak for the majority! +wave+

Who knows what the future will bring, but in the meantime this "workaround" might help.

Thank you, Margaret! Another work around we have used in ACTIVprimary is linking from flipchart to flipchart.

Hope you have a great weekend,
Lori
