I am just testing ActiveSlate hardware: the wireless tablet. The hardware is quite nifty. I have had a number of other tablets in my hands, but this one is _almost_ perfect. My only disappointment is:
Pen writing is activated but after exerting a fairly strong pressure by the pen on the tablet - such as required when I want to write a _very_solid_ line with a pencil on a paper. This is tidious and unappropriate as soon as I want to write naturally and fluently. It may only be appropriate for 1st year pupils slowly drawing their "A"s and "B"s, but not for adults. We (FU Berlin, comp sci, Echalk) have constructed a pen with a much softer switch. Others have done so without any switch at all. It works well. Why has the ActiveSlate pen such a strong switch?
Best wishes, Christian Zick
