Hullo!
I'm about to test ACTIVstudio MV tomorrow for the first time with my laptop at EXPO 2005 - Myerscough College. Very excited! Had a few problems installing the drivers, which was solved by a VERY helpful lady over at Promethean Tech Support.
Will keep you all updated on my progress. Looks brilliant, though ! [clap]

Hi Bill,
You arrived back in the US after your jaunt over here then?
MV is something which is only available in the UK. The reason being is that it comes with a bank of questions which are currently linked to the UK curriculum. BUT everything comes to those that wait !! +wave+
Great to meet you for real! {}

There are not any file-size restrictions on uploads to this forum. To test this I have successfully uploaded two test flipcharts, one 6.5MB and one 28.5MB, as shown in the screen-shot attached.
Dave, the problem is likely to be restriction on your network, eg, an http upload limit, timeout or bandwidth throttle, although I’m a little confused that you’re getting a page not found error. Let me know if I can be of any further help but I can assure you that the forum software is functioning correctly and a 1.4MB flipchart should not cause any problems.

I'm finding it very strange how I can't upload it - I've never had any problems before now! I've just uploaded a small image fine - must be the connection here. I'll try e-mailing it to myself at home and doing it from there :)
Many thanks,
Dave

This may seem a bit dim but I have been using ActiVote for a while now and have it all set up in my classroom - with no idea what the hub is supposed to be for???
I have the radio link plugged into the board and a box of devices (pods we call them) and all is well....
Am I missing out on something? Is there another way to use ActiVote with the hub? Help me i feel left out!

The hub is for use when you don't have an ACTIVboard present and you are just using a projector :D
THEREFORE, it can be used with SmartBoards, etc :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I had an board on the day but for some reason the radio link kept losing votes :( but I used the hub and it was fine. Didn't really have time to re-register the pods - people kept wanting a go
Hope this helps!

Thanks Dave - does help lots - one other q if I might...
Does this mean that I can take ActVote out and about with me?? I do training for an ITT provider - they have rubbish facilities - not even a vaguely active or smart board in sight.
Could I use the votes with just my laptop and a projector?
Wow - so cool if that is the case.... [clap]

Me too! Sit down, Smartboard! :D [clap]
P.S. Made an effort at selling Promethean to a few teachers at EXP05..... I should have told them to quote my name when they purchase so I can get free presents from Promethean! :p
