Excited new user

Hello all

I have just had my Activote handsets installed (on Friday) and will be using them for the first time with my class (Y6) on Monday. I am excited about them and know that the children will be too - a great motivator I am sure

I just wanted to share my excitement and ask for any general tips and experiences from other more experienced users to make it as smooth and successful as possible.

My biggest tip is to let your imagination go wild. There are many, many uses for the votes and you will see the reaction that the kids have to them!! [clap]

You can create spontaneous voting sessions! If you're mid-way through teaching and suddenly... IDEA!... you can create a mulitple-choice question for your learners to answer immediately. If you don't know how to do this, just ask and someone is BOUND to give you some help :D

Many thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for voting on our forum .As number grow what we share here is so important in terms of product development, sharing great ideas and also highlighting queries. One of my favourite uses of voting is to use it spontaneously or check general opinion about something. A funny example recently was when a fellow teacher asked her class to vote on what they throught of her dress sense. She wished she hadn't ,as because it was anonymous, they were all pretty honest. Needless to say she is now contacting Trinny & Suzannah (Style and Fashion experts on Television )
