Help!

we've just put in an ACTIVboard at school but we can't make Macs work. we thinks it's a problem with Tiger. Does anyone know for sure? And is there anything that we can do about it?

in what way is it not working?

although all software and drivers are installed, when ACTIVstudio is opened, the message HARDWARE NOT DETECTED comes up with a warning about license to Promethean etc. the user dialogue box opens, I click on my profile and then I can see only the desktop - no palette, toolboxes, menu bars etc.

In the dock, the ACTIVstudio icon shows that the software is open, but there is no way of using it. My guess is that it has timed out because of the number of attempted logins as part of inbuilt software protection.

since I posted this thread, I've received confirmation of my suspicion: that Tiger and ACTIVstudio don't work together! I understand that 1 September is the expected release date for the Mac OS X Tiger version. Can't wait!

Thanks for your support

True, ACTIVstudio does have some problems with OS10.4, but the board should still work, maybe try the latest driver from our website. Version 2.1. That should be Tiger compatible, and at least you can use the board for other things.

I have the same problem with my Tiger and ACTIVboard I can't even get the board to calibrate. We have tried booting in Classic mode, but have not had luck there. My kids are getting restless. They want their ACTIVboard! September 1st has come and gone. Any news on when the Tiger version will be out? --david

if you are having problems with the board working then update the driver. the new driver works with tiger, activstudio 1 has a few problems for some, activprimary2 works fine.
