I am looking to create a teacher observation tool for evaluating the use of the ActivBoard in the classroom. Does anyone already have something like that created? I am looking for some kind of guidance....what would you be looking for to determine effective use in the classroom.

Thanks for posting this. A great idea .. if we don't get a post soon with someone already doing it, maybe we can try to build our own? :-)

Maybe one criteria could be how many students were called to the board or interacted with the board during the lesson? This way a focus can be on changing the way instruction is being conducted....need some more ideas, help please??

You might also want to check for different types of media used with the flipcharts (video, webpages).
Is the flipchart merely like a powerpoint, moving from page to page or does it involve a lot of interactivity, actions, self-checking features?

Hi,
I remembered reading about something like this on the forum before. I did a search, and I found it. If you want to read the posts, you can type in Teacher Observations in the search. A TLC named Leslie Ramsey, in NC, attached a document she created. I am going to try and attach it here. If it doesn't work, then do the search. I hope this a start for what you are looking for.
