Our staff will be transitioning to Inspire and I will be doing a lot of the training. I am having trouble with Legacy (v2) activotes. They are registered and working when I do express polling--however, when I export the results to excel, it does not export the results in device number order--it seems to be very random. I can't find a setting that addresses this. Also, when voting--the graph for the voting results disappears when I write on the page (i.e. to explain an answer). In Activstudio, the graph stayed on the page--so I could wait to select the right answer until after some discussion/writing.

And last--when using express polling, often an extra page gets added to the flipchart, with a copy of one of the pages added as an image with some question information. This extra page ends up skewing the percentage correct unless I delete the page before exporting. Again, I can't seem to find a setting that addresses this. I only used ad hoc voting in Studio, and the voting piece seems to be quite a bit more complicated in Inspire!!

In my school district we have a lot of legacy votes. In the voting browser make sure that you are not accidently on "Toggle anonymous voting " so that the votes are not random. In order to get the Activotes results window back bring up the Voting Browser. At the bottom click on the Results Browser unlimited and there will be a tiny menu that allows you to bring back the results window. Hope this helps!

I have seen the other issue about adding the additional page with the image but do not have a solution.

When I export my results they are always random. This is with Legacy, 2.4 Activotes or Expressions. If you go into Excel, highlight all the columns, go to "Data" at the top of the page, and go to "sort" you can fix it. Choose sort by "column A" and they go into numerical order. In your settings under "learner response systems" there is a box that is apparently checked on yours. I think it says "add question to the end of flipchart" or something along those lines. It is putting a picture of the page at the end of your chart because you told it to! :) If you uncheck it, Inspire will open an additional flipchart with the polling results.

Good luck!

We did try that but we had to put zeros in front of the single digit numbers to make it work or else excel sorted them starting with Device 10. Turned out to be way more trouble than it was worth. I am hoping that there is a quick fix somewhere....I checked all the preferences for voting/learner response and couldn't find anything that addresses it. It always exports the data in the same random order...i.e. number 4 is always first, then number 10, etc.,

Also, does anyone know why it takes so many more clicks to choose the right answer in express voting in Inspire than it did in Activstudio? I miss the "one click" right answer.
