I have been asked to do a demo for our PTO basically showing what all can be done on our new Promethean boards. Does anyone have a flipchart already made that might be what I need? I am using ActivInspire. I thought I would ask before I made one on my own..:o

Hello Kristy,
It just came to my mind that you could perhaps show the video that appears on the landing page of professional development in Promethean planet, it shows a few of the new things you can do with Inspire.
I know it is not a full flipchart but perhaps it could be useful as it is very visual.
regards

What grade levels are taught at your school? How long is your presentation?

I'll check into the video..Thank you!
Our school is Pre-K - 3rd. :) I was not given a time limit. I am thinking around 15 min. tops.
I have already started a flipchart that has a pic of my class and I have embedded videos of some of my kids telling why they love the promethean board. I thought that would be a good intro!

Here is a rather old flipchart I made for that age group as a demonstration of sample lessons.
Perhaps this will help!

Just thought I'd add that when you show parents, try and choose things that are difficult to do without a whiteboard - and easy to do with a whiteboard! Especially concepts that can be hard to grasp. Parents will love to see things that will motivate their kids and make concepts clearer. I usually demonstrate something with the ruler and protractor tool with fill arc (e.g. showing how angles of a triangle add up to 180) as this is something that is tricky to do on a normal whiteboard.

Here is one I used a few year ago... many of the pages came from a demo downloaded from the planet. The general flow goes like this... Promethean stuff from demo... Math stuff (I teach High School Math).... Science Stuff... General Stuff. Each page has page notes. Hope it helps.

You're the second person today who said they couldn't attach something because of that. Strange. How big is the file?

File size is about 59MB. Sounds, a couple of videos, and extra flipcharts all rolled into one. The flipchart that did go through is only 33 MB. Both seem pretty small compared to some of them I have downloaded. I tried it on two different computers on two different networks. Same result. One Mac and the other PC.
