I have been asked to present to our teachers about Promethean, focusing on the ActivExpressions mostly. Any suggestions or flipchart examples from anyone out there that does this type of training. This will be my first time. I have searched the resources and lesson plans and have found several samples of uses. I appreciate any suggestions, and am looking forward to your response.

This flipchart called Leo Gallant's flipchart looks like a good start for those starting with Activote or Activexpression.

Try putting up a flipchart page with a graphic organizer and using the word seed feature in the Expressions. For example, I show teachers how, when discussing opportunity cost with debate students, I will put something like "human cloning..." in the center of the page, then have students text in a word or short phrase regarding the topic. When the results are sent, I put them on the page and we discuss and decide if a word/phrase should go under pro or con.

Another thing I saw in Orlando was a teacher that printed a poster of an ActivExpression. It got me thinking that I could have used that to demo the hot buttons, delete, send, hitting the 2 3 times to get a "c" when I went to teach my 1st graders. Just a hint for those teachers who might not be texting in their everyday life. It might save you time to show them which buttons to hit.
