I am so annoyed!
I have just spent 2 hours on a flipchart.
Darn thing crashed.
Auto recover said it found data. Just blank pages.
What on earth is the point of waiting for the autorecover to do its thing every minute if it not saving anything!
grrr!
I get little enough free time as it is without having to redo this stupid flipchart!

I've had the same problem several times. I even tried choosing "no" thinking maybe it would recover that way. I hope they get the Mac issues figured out soon because it is getting very old. I know several people who have gone back to Studio but I'm still holding out. I feel your pain!

OK have calmed down now a bit...
Actually, I have been losing far too many flipcharts of late.
Particular problem is saving larger flipcharts when I am wirelessly connected to the school network.
Here's what happens....
I click save, the save progresses to the point of compressing. Then it gets stuck and stops.
Eventually I have no choice but to reboot.
The flipchart is not saved and worse, if I was editing an existing one, this is now corrupt and unusable.
very annoying!

Hello, all. As with any piece of software I would strongly encourage saving regularly. I would also advise you to ensure that you are at the latest version of the software.
From the descriptions I'm reading here this sounds like an error within the software and as such it should be reported to tech support (http://www.Prometheankb.com/). This will allow us to log a call and troubleshoot or collect information as appropriate. This is not an issue I personally have heard of or seen before, so I cannot be certain that we will have a ready fix, however if not we will collect information and report internally as appropriate.
I can't be certain but it sounds like you are all referring to Activinspire rather than Activprimary, it may also be worthwhile to look or post in that forum so that our product managers and testers for that software can review.
We as always appreciate your input and hope you will reach out to us so we can assist further. Thank you!

Hi again,
it's definitely ActivPrimary I'm talking about. Sadly, we can't run Actvinspire on all our machines as they are not all Intel Macs.. so sadly we're stuck with the buggy ActivPrimary.
And yes, I know it's good to save regularly, but you know what it's like when you get on a roll designing. All that good practice goes out of the window!

Sorry, I was talking about Inspire! I didn't see which forum I was in.

Thank you, Steve. Thank you for the information. I'll try to review further, but I don't believe that I've heard that behavior reported out of Activprimary for the Mac and it's been around for a while. Please verify that you are up to date, and perhaps if you contact support let's have a look at the error logs and see what's actually causing the crash.
No problem, Cindy; for the record I tested trying to kill the application with force quit and found that all but the last page were restored so perhaps whatever is causing the crash is also causing the issue. Not to sound like a broken record but if you reach out to support let's verify that you're up to date and see if we can't get an error log.
