    The goal of this lesson is to solve one- and two-step word problems related to appropriate third grade objectives.  It includes oral and written problems, and problems with extraneous information as well as information from sources such as pictographs, bar graphs, tables, and charts.
    Have students begin to develop problem-solving skills that eliminate extraneous information for story problems.
