    This flipchart hosts a game allowing the teacher to do hands-on testing and practicing of students' understanding of root words. Add your own pages by duplicating this page and adding your own words. You can also use Activotes to let the class vote on whether the students’ answers are right or wrong. This flipchart was inspired by a lesson seen at Upson Lee Middle School in Georgia.
    1. Divide the class into two groups (X's and O's)
    2. The first group will send a member to the board and choose a square. He or she will explain the meaning of the root word and give two examples. If the teacher agrees, the team will get their X or O on the square.
    3. Then the next team can try.
    4. The winning team will be the one with three (X's or O's) in a row!
