Eyewitness Activpacks : Promethean Planet

These bright and vibrant resources will appeal to all learning styles, stimulating teachers and learners alike! Developed from the DK Eyewitness books, each Activpack consists of a wide range of resources and activities to enable you to quickly create you own lessons around a topic.

The packs are suitable across a wide age range and can be used time and time again to create a whole series of lessons or units of work. They can be used to supplement the books or as a stand alone resource. They support cross-curricular teaching and thematic instruction at ages 5-13. The packs provide many re-usable assets and all activities and templates are fully editable so the scope of the pack is only limited by your own imagination.

The activities and resources encourage and exemplify effective use of all Activclassroom components but encompass traditional teaching methods too. Instructions for non-IWB activities are intended to stimulate interaction and collaboration in the whole classroom, not just at the whiteboard.

Each Activpack contains:
Images
- 100 high quality images from the Eyewitness book. These can dragged onto any flipchart and be used to enhance any of your existing resources or for creating new resources.
Captions
- Each image includes the accompanying caption from the eyewitness book. The caption is separate from the image and consists of a title and a paragraph of reference text. All captions are fully editable text and can be used in a number of ways - to label images, provide primary or supplementary information to assist in the learning, they can be used to create literacy activities such as cloze or comprehension and to create interactive activities such as image/caption matching or assessment activities.
Templates
- Approximately 20 fully editable page templates are provided to allow the simple creation of you own professional looking lesson activities. These include a mixture of page layouts, assessment and blank activity templates. Simply choose a template, edit the text and using the images and captions along with your own ideas to create a professional looking activity in minutes, not hours.
Ready made lesson activities
- Approximately 20 cross curricular ready made lesson activities are included to provide a range of cross curricular activities to get you started. These are all fully editable so can be adapted to the requirements of each particular class or lesson. These include a title page, 3-5 lesson starter activities, 10-12 main lesson activities and 3-5 lesson review activities. Use a combination of these ready made activities along with new activities created using the templates, images and captions in the pack to create many lessons around a topic.
