Through text, sound, images, music and games, the story of Alice becomes increasingly interactive and game-like, reflecting Alice's own developing skills as a game designer and animator.
Alice is living with her parents in a remote region of Northern China. Over the course of the remaining episodes, each a self-contained adventure, we see her develop into a talented animator and designer with the biggest games company in the world.

Designed originally as entertainment, Inanimate Alice has been adopted by teachers eager to connect with students through media they inherently understand. Created around a high-quality robust text, the content is suitable for the deep-reading and re-reading necessary for academic investigation.
Lessons are developed by breaking down the experience to the individual screenshot level. Using BEFORE and AFTER viewing strategies, interrogating the scripts and working through the creative process, the story unfolds in layers.
